Certainly, my first favourite material for summer is linen. The best is with the highest possible linen content. I know that for some people, 100% linen is not very comfortable, so in that case, I would definitely choose a lower percentage. Linen is great because it is a natural material that is exceptionally breathable, slightly cools, and simultaneously releases heat from within. The downside is that it is a wrinkly material and is not suitable for everyone. With this material, the wrinkling is justifiable. We don't have to be afraid of wearing it.
Another really great summer fabric is viscose. It’s a semi-natural material and has many benefits. I personally like it a lot because it’s very soft to the touch, which makes it comfortable to wear. It cools well on hot summer days, doesn’t cause static, and doesn’t pill — which is a big plus. Of course, like with any material, there is a downside, and in this case, it’s that it wrinkles quickly.
Silk is another excellent summer option. It’s very light and cooling. It looks elegant and is also great for more formal occasions. The downsides of this fabric are that it wrinkles easily and is more sensitive to water contact.
Cotton is a classic for me — you can never go wrong with it, whether it’s summer or winter. It’s widely available, breathable, and light. One of its big advantages is that it absorbs moisture and helps the body cool down faster.
